Sep. 13th, 2006 11:10 pmAn altercation, she'd said.
An altercation with a woman, and that she was locking herself in a cell for a bit. Not really clear on how long "a bit" was going to be, though when Adam tapped his foot, she managed to look suitably sorry.
But that's all she told him, other than the fact that Jack was there. Which could likely explain why Adam's currently tapping that same foot, but on the shore of the lake, looking out at the ship that's been parked there.

"She dumped her to the floor." A beat. "Name's Elizabeth Swann."

It's mostly a question.
Mostly.

"Not so simple as all that, son." Quietly said.

Date: 2006-09-14 05:04 am (UTC)It's a simple admission, and not simple at all. But his voice is lower, and has lost some of its edge.

There's something grimly forboding about the simple words.

Date: 2006-09-14 05:19 am (UTC)"And if I get her out?"

Date: 2006-09-14 05:23 am (UTC)"Then it's up to you, mate. But I'll be here."

Date: 2006-09-14 05:31 am (UTC)He hasn't missed the small theft, and Jack's grin is wickedly amused as he says,
"After all, we've yet to drink to your children-to-be, savvy?"
A beat.
"All three of them."

...it's a good thing he took the rum.
