*Still flushing from the scene with Raven, Adam leads Alanna back through the halls and into her

room. Door open, shoes off, and he's not left her side once all day, he's not going to leave it now as he leads her to the bed and has her lay down.*

*Her fingers curl around his, and she kisses him back with a soft sigh, smiling against his mouth. It is good to hear him laugh.*

And just how long have you been awake?

[last_adam]

Not very long.

*Though longer than he'll let on. He did manage to finally get sleep, though, and it shows on his face. Smiling, he slides his arms under her head and leans down for another kiss.*

This is nice. Could do this all day.

[the_lioness]

You could actually. I seem to recall something about a locked door.

*She picks her head off the pillow to meet him halfway and kisses him, lingering over it.*

Three months...

*Her smile is soft as she traces his lower lip with a fingertip.*

[last_adam]

*He playfully nips at the finger, the smile never once fading from his face.*

Can't imagine it's been so long.

[the_lioness]

*Grinning, she trails that same finger along his jaw and runs her hand through his hair, shifting under him.*

I suspect it's a good thing we didn't notice the passage of time.

Means we're happy, right?

*Blushing, she kisses him again, utterly relaxed.*

I love you, too. I just wish there wasn't all ... this hanging over us.

*He lets himself fall back down to the bed, stretching out next to her as his arms wrap around her.*

*Nodding, Alanna lifts her torso up a bit so he can get his arm under her and rolls closer. She doesn't look up just yet, studying his neck instead.*

Aye, me too. We've a few days left yet.

*Adam bites his lip. Bad habits travel, apparently.*

[the_lioness]

We just have to get the box back by friday. Who knows about the rest? I'm certain he needs more time than that.

*She can't help looking at him then, and smiles, kissing the corner of his mouth and working her way over.*

Oh dear.

[last_adam]

*He pulls back just a bit, his face full of confusion and fear.*

What is it?

[the_lioness]

You're picking up my bad habits.

*Gaze apologetic, she smooths her thumb along his lower lip.*

[last_adam]

*He hadn't even noticed he'd done it but now as he runs his tongue along his lip, tracing the path her finger took, he flushes.*

Next thing you know I'll be sprouting red hair.

[the_lioness]

Please don't. I like your hair as it is.

*She smiles.*

Let's not... think about such things just yet, okay? We've all day... what would you like to do?

*There's a long pause between the question and the answer, filled with what-ifs and buts. But he answers nonetheless.*

*Her lashes lower a little, though she is still watching him.*

It's what I said, isn't it?

*The grin of love slowly morphs into an evl one.*

I believe so.

*She blinks, smiling.*

Not that I'm opposed to the idea...

What kind of ideas did you have?

[the_lioness]

*Alanna's eyes grow bright with mischief. She doesn't answer with words just yet, merely leans forward and kisses him slowly, nudging his lips apart with hers and lightly nibbling on his.*

Oh, I like to improvise, though I did think about wearing a dress today as I've no need to carry my sword.

A dress?

*It's possible he's surprised at the idea of her wearing a dress. It's also possible it's surprised at the idea that she thought she'd need clothes at all.*

[the_lioness]

*She runs her hand down his side and laughs.*

If we move. Maybe.

[last_adam]

*He laughs at that; just seeing her laugh is enough to make him smile and put him in a good mood.*

*A kiss. A long one, at that.*

Liam might be upset if you don't show up.

[the_lioness]

*Breath a bit unsteady, she turns her head and looks at the sunlight streaming through the thin curtains.*

Too late. I wasn't kidding about Shang hours. I guarantee he was out there long before it grew light outside.

[last_adam]

I don't know how anybody can be that productive that early. How'll we manage it?

[the_lioness]

*She grins from ear to ear, unreasonably pleased by his use of the word 'we.'*

Coffee. Lots and lots of coffee. At least Liam can not come kick me out of bed like he did when we were traveling.
