Mmmm, Atlantean.

Okay, to be fair, there are a lot of thoughts going through Adam's head at the moment, but the loudest and most frequent happens to be "mmm, atlantean."

The door swings open and he's got a smile on his face as he flops on to the couch.

"I'm hoooooooooome."

Alanna is sitting on the floor of the spare bedroom, cat in her lap, sipping wine as she admires the mural.

She's had a thoughtful sort of day.

At the sound of Adam's voice, she sets Myles on her shoulder, stands carefully and wanders into the other room.

"So I hear."

[last_adam]

The door slams shut (so what if there's nobody there to close it?) and he grins a wide happy grin at her.

"I've missed you."

[the_lioness]

"I've missed you as well," she says with a light laugh. "You look happy."

Depositing both cat and wine on the table, she leans over the back of the couch and smiles.

[last_adam]

He leans back and reaches for her to give her a kiss.

"Found something that helps."

[the_lioness]

She leans down to give him one and ends up tumbling on top of him with a stunned expression.

"Sorry," she says sheepishly. "Did you? And what's that?"

[last_adam]

He doesn't seem to mind any as he wraps his arms around her.

"Atlantean."

[the_lioness]

"Ahhh." She looks amused. "You're drunk."

[last_adam]

He stage-whispers in a ridiculously loud voice-

"Just a little."

It's true! He's still in complete control of his faculties!

"Watch this, though."

And a fire lights up in the fireplace.

[the_lioness]

"I was attempting such..."

Eyes widening, she trails off.

"Mithros, Adam. All you had to do was get drunk?"

[last_adam]

"No, not all."

He rolls his eyes, but only a little.

"Made everything shut up, though."

[the_lioness]

"Thank the Goddess for that."

Resting her hands on either side of his face, she leans down for a kiss. This one connects.

"That makes me more happy than I can say."

[last_adam]

"Can't stay drunk forever."

Those're the words that come out of his mouth, but the smile on his face just won't quit.

"'lmost told Lucy."

[the_lioness]

"No, but we can go home."

Head tilted, she looks down at him with a curious and slightly puzzled expression.

"About Blodwen? I would have assumed you'd tell her since she's one of the reasons you did what you did."

[last_adam]

"Mmmmm, home."

The smile doesn't leave.

"No, 'bout that."

And he reaches up, one hand running through the chains around her neck.

[the_lioness]

The smile is infectious, especially when he does that.

"Really?" She asks softly, glancing down at his hand as it catches in the emerald necklace. "I told George."

[last_adam]

"Really. Wanna tell."

He kisses her lightly, on the mouth, on the neck where chain meets throat.

[the_lioness]

Alanna exhales slowly, smiling, turning her head a little so he can get closer.

"As do I. You can, you know. I certainly don't mind."

[last_adam]

He snuggles in closer, and there's another kiss, not quite so light.

"I know. S'just- it's Lucy."

[the_lioness]

"Aye," she breathes and closes her eyes.

But she's not quite sure what he means by that, and swallows, fingers playing with his hair.

"Do you think she'll be upset?"

[last_adam]

"I hope not. Just, dunno."

He shrugs lightly and brings a hand up, running it along her cheek, trying to get her to open her eyes. A bright smile passes over his face as he bites his lower lip.

"How're you feeling?"

[the_lioness]

She opens her eyes slowly, the purple somehow deeper than usual. It's hard not to smile in return, no matter what else she's thinking, and she drops a light kiss on the spot he'd just bitten.

"I'm not sure. Still a little bit stunned."

[last_adam]

"But you're-"

His voice drops off as he pulls back just a little, a wicked smile crossing his face.

[the_lioness]

"I'm what?"

Biting her own lip now, she eyes him curiously.

"I'm not sure I should trust that smile."

[last_adam]

"Not trust me?"

He blinks. So innocent.

"You're feeling well enough?"

[the_lioness]

Innocent like a fox!

"I think it will be a few days before I'm much in the mood for speaking with other people, but I feel fine."

If a little distracted.

"The wine helped a little."
