*Adam waits by the lake. He looks around him, making sure everything is ready. He's a little nervous, and takes a few deep breaths. Everything will go fine. It would. He's Adam, he can do this. He's got everything he needs, and he sits and waits.*

*Paul appears, slouching against a tree.*

Wanted to see me?

*Adam smiles coyly and nods*

And?

*Paul glances around, uncomfortable at being outdoors.*

*Adam walks towards Paul and takes his hand*

I have a surprise for you.

*Purrs*

Oh do you?

Uh huh.

*He pulls Paul close and kisses him lightly*

Trust me?

*Paul pauses.

He doesn't trust anyone. No one.*

Sure.

*He lies.*

*smiles*

Come with me.

*he pulls away and grabs Paul by the hand, walking towards the lake*

Where?

Here!

*he walks to the shore of the lake, where he's got a box of supplies closed up*

This is the lake.

Very good, you know large bodies of water.

*laughs*

You ready for your surprise?

*Impatiently*

Yes.

*Adam pulls Paul close again, and puts one of his hands over Paul's eyes. He spins them around so that Paul's back is to the lake, takes a few steps toward the lake, and gives a push*

SPLASH

*Paul lets out a blood curdling screech and claws at the water. He sputters and struggles to keep his head above it.

He is only in up to his knees*

*Adam reaches into the box and pulls out a bottle of suds and a long scrub brush and wades into the water*

Now, now, Paul. It's for your own good.

*Still seething and sputtering*

No!

Not...a bath!!!

Oh, yes, Paul. A bath.

*he pours some of the suds into the water, and the lake is suddenly filled with great giant soap bubbles. He puts the bottle back on the shore and, tapping the scrub brush on his hand, walks very slowly towards Paul*

*Paul hisses menacingly. Baths are not him. When he thinks of baths he thinks of submerging the more enthusiastic patients in ice water as they pounded and scratched at his arms. The tank doesn't count. Paul hasn't had a bath in a long, long time*

No!

Yes.

*smiles, menacingly*

Oh, yes.

*he comes closer still*

You wouldn't dare...

I think we've already established, Paul, that I would.

What's the problem? Don't you like bubbles?

*laughs, and pops a four foot bubble that floats by his head*

*Hisses*

I don't like baths.

But Paul, if you take a bath, you'll be clean. And-

*Adam starts coughing and turns a rather funny colour red*

Anyway. I'd like for you to take a bath. Please?

*Paul growls, a sulky expression on his face, but he does slump still in the water.*
